Testimonials:

Ms. Eileen Boyd was our music teacher for the 2019-2020 and 2020 – 2021 school year.  During that time Ms. Boyd routinely had students engage with music from cultures around the world as well as songs that were uplifting and positive.  During the 2019-2020 school year, Ms. Boyd was tasked with putting on a Black History Program for our school.  The program consisted of a variety of songs, poems, spoken word and history snippets of some prominent African Americans.  Students in grades K – 6 participated, with younger grades singing and older grades doing poems, spoken word and history presentations.  The presentation was met with much appreciation and admiration from myself, staff, and parents.

Hey, I'm getting all teared up just remembering those days and your AMAZING PROGRAMS!

"Heartwarming"

"The best program I have been to in years!"

"Why don't more schools do this?"

These are but a few of the comments I heard during the many years Eileen Boyd spearheaded the annual Veteran's Day Program at our elementary school, Hubert Bancroft Elementary in Sacramento.

Each year, the students would be invited to ask their relatives who are veterans or on active duty to come to our program. Mrs. Boyd's children's school choir would perform absolutely beautiful patriotic songs, and honor each branch of the military with the Armed Forces Medley. She would have a wonderful slide show which accompanied the tributes! The show would always include introductions and it was a VERY lovely and emotional experience for all each year! I can't say enough about what it meant to the students, parents, relatives and everyone involved. BRAVO!
